Pastor V. Vernon Eckleberry and his wife Brenda live in Brunswick, Georgia. They have three children (all grown) and seven grandchildren.
“Pastor Eck” retired from teaching in Georgia Public Schools in 2004. After a brief retirement from the ministry, he returned to substitute preaching in 2020 and and began a full time ministry at Bay Branch in 2022.
His previous pastorates were in Twin City, Savannah, Brunswick (twice), Macon, Valdosta, and Jesup (twice).
Education has been a priority in Pastor Eck’s life, both as a teacher and student. His degrees include a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education at Armstrong State College, Education Specialist degree at Valdosta State, Doctor of Philosophy at Trinity Theological Seminary, and completion of the Professional Program in Screenwriting at UCLA.
But preaching is Pastor Eck’s greatest joy, and he considers serving Bay Branch a great privilege.
